Bet you didn’t know that a cover chain is a set of songs in which each new song is a cover of a song by the artist who coverered the preceding song. Every artist can only feature once in the cover chain. (Huh?) Here is the longest cover chain in SecondHandSongs — 211 statements!!

The most covered song? Eleanor Rigby with 119 covers.

Find out who performed the original version of a particular song, or who covered that song. Unlike many related sites, we try to be as complete as possible (not just performer and song title, but also songwriters and original media) and order the data in a reusable and maintainable way. The database already contains 45921 songs (11810 originals, 32748 cover songs and 1363 songs with samples) and 17498 artists (performers and songwriters).
